PKG Place | Warehouse Management Dashboard UI UX Design

Uptechies, we design digital experiences that transform complex business operations into simple, efficient, and visually engaging workflows. Among our featured projects, we want to mention PKG Place, a warehouse management dashboard that is designed to streamline workflow and optimize inventory monitoring among logistic professionals.

The client came to us to develop a modern and intelligent dashboard system that will give him real-time insights without a cluttered user interface. Our goal was to craft a high-performance interface that helps users manage invoices, auctions, and warehouse activities effortlessly.

Project Background

Managing a warehouse involves tracking thousands of data points every day. The main challenge was to organize and present this data in a way that feels simple, structured, and easy to navigate.

The client required:

  • A centralized dashboard to handle invoices, items, and employee records.
  • A consistent user interface that works across multiple devices.
  • A design system that reduces complexity and improves visibility for warehouse operators.

Our team researched users and workflow before initiating the design process. We researched the interaction of warehouse teams with similar tools and pinpointed the sources of pain that impeded them. These lessons allowed us to execute a solution that is intuitive even once it is used.

Our Design Process

  1. Research and Strategy
We began by defining user personas and understanding the end users’ priorities. Warehouse teams need instant access to data like invoice numbers, payment progress, and item availability. Based on these needs, we structured the information architecture to make every action accessible within a few clicks.
  2. Wireframing and Information Architecture
Once we finalized the flow, we designed low-fidelity wireframes to visualize how users would navigate the dashboard. Our focus was to create a modular structure that allows users to search, filter, and track invoices efficiently without feeling overwhelmed.
  3. Visual Design and Prototyping
After finalizing the wireframes, our UI UX design team moved to Figma for the creative phase.
Our bold purple theme and light green highlights enhanced the readability of data and visual fidelity. The use of typography was decided on because of ease of interpretation, and the use of spacing was also adjusted to create a balanced interface. Interactive prototypes helped the client visualize real-time dashboard interactions before final approval.
  4. Usability Testing and Refinement
We conducted multiple usability tests with real users to ensure the interface performed well in practical scenarios. Based on feedback, we refined button hierarchy, color indicators, and data layout. These refinements improved visibility for key information such as payment and completion status.
